Actor, activist, and self-proclaimed adventurpreneur, Michael is devoted to the mastery of storytelling through mediums of film, television, print, photography, and social media. He is also a travel enthusiast and expert at location scouting for current and future productions located in South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia.
Over the course of four years he starred in Operation Adventure, hosting the documentary travel series. Tolbert appeared as the no nonsense Detective Aaron Kennedy in Underground 13. He also starred in science fiction horror film Alienography a film that he wrote and co-directed. He also starred as Officer Jeremy Conners in What Matters. On August 10, 2018, Tolbert was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. After receiving the diagnosis he decided to halt production on Operation Adventure and began filming his life as a warrior fighting cancer. This series is titled Diagnosis: The Series and Tolbert plans to premiere it Spring of 2019.
Tolbert is a graduate of the University of South Carolina from the College of Information and Communication with a Bachelors Degree in Journalism and Mass Communications.
